Swing Choir, organized this year by director David E. Simpson, made its first ap- pearance before a Northern Indiana Principal’s Association meeting in LaPorte. This group, all members of the A Cappella Choir, specializes in music of a lighter variety. Among their many activities were appearances at banquets, parties and assemblies. The Bowling Club, reorganized under the leadership of Mr. Bernard, bowled Beatty Memorial Hospital, the faculty, and the girls bowling team this year. The group met every Thursday afternoon to bowl. What would school be like without the classes? Like heaven, you say—but wait—stop and think. What would it really be like if we didn’t have biology with the studying of birds, insects, and little green frogs? Just imagine the girls screaming as they re- move the entrails of a frog! Believe it or not, this is an occasional occurrence. A few of the mighty seniors venture to take chemistry where we find that all is not peace and quiet, especially when we work in the lab. An ex- plosion or an unusual fragrance is noticed in the halls of L.P.H.S. much to the amusement of the underclassmen. Testing for unknowns is the exciting part of chemistry, for we find that the substances arc really unknown.
