Her first impression of the United States was, Everything is the biggest and greatest in the world. Everybody is always busy.” While at home in Montpellier, South of France, Nancy went to a girl’s school, Lycce de Montpellier. Here, there were no extra-curricular activities and the students could not choose their subjects. During her year in La Porte, Nancy has taken U. S. history, English, civics, chemistry, home economics, psychology, and sociology. Nancy thought it a wonderful experience to spend the year in La Porte. Page twenty-six
