Paul Krentz, Dick Martin, Roman S .ymula, Tom Fara, Max I.audit, Jim Freese The 1947 Cross Country team proved to be one of the best L.P.H.S. ever had, in spite of the fact that it had only one man returning from the 1946 squad. It placed second only to Mishawaka in the newly in- augurated conference while winning nine regular season meets and los- ing one to Conference Champs, Mishawaka, who went through their season undefeated. The harriers did not fare so well in larger meets placing ninth in the Hobart Invitational and fourteenth in the Eastern-Western Division Conference meet. However, they ran their best in the State Finals at Indianapolis. There they ran tenth in a field of the fifteen best teams in the state. Lettermen were: Keith Zook, Bob Games, Ken Harayda. Bill Feikes, Dick Martin, Tom Fara, Paul Krentz, and Roman S .mula. Zook was elected most valuable and Harayda captain. Paso Seventeen
