Superintendents and principals are generally in earnest to promote democracy. Practically all the civic conditions and requirements of the larger democracy exist in the public school. Answers to these questions will be determined in consider- able measure by the attention they have given to their opportunities to learn in their public schools, both in their study and in their various activities Their success in life will be determined largely from what they know and from what they can do.
