Yes, starred, striped, even plaid and checkered chairs were carried around campus by student cabinet members on their way to the activities room where they planned and co-ordinated the various activities of the year. Rock On! The cheerleaders helped the Patriots rock on to victory. They promoted great enthusiasm and bicenten- nial pride to our campus. During the summer they worked very hard to make and improve new cheers. In August they went to camp, and although the competition was very challenging, the cheerleaders returned with superior ribbons and a trophy. The cheerleaders helped promote Patriot spirit by selling buttons and ribbons and by having car washes, pep rallies, and a spirit dance in September. The cheerleaders certainly brought the student body and faculty much more of that Patriot Pride, creating many more memories that we will cherish forever. Cheerleaders 11

I hope it can be said by everyone that there has been at least one time in this school year that they have enjoyed themselves, either as a spectator or as a participant. The effort by the student cabinet this year was to make this school year the best ever for you. It was not the effort of any one person but the combined work of the student cabinet and the student body which has accomplished this. I think that you will agree that activities with many people involved are far more exciting than those with few people showing any active interest. And the class of 1976 definitely showed a lot of involvement this year. I have learned a great deal from the faculty and the student body this year. I am very grateful to all those who helped me for their time and co- operation. Most importantly, I want to thank all of you - the entire student body - for this oppor- tunity to serve you as your student body president.
