Our annual Pancake Breakfast Ticket Sale broke all records. We were quite proud of our new choral group , junior Varsity Boys' Glee. Back to School Night and Holiday in Music were two of the activities in which the glees performed. Our concert tour to the elementary schools was rewarding and fun. The annual Boys' Glee Clinic I Festival and the Advanced Girls' Glee's second apprearance at the National Orange Show were during the middle of the school year. Finally, the Spring activities included S.C.V.A. Festivals in Malibu, La Habra, and Baldwin Park, plus our District Festival at the Convention Center. The 1: Sharps and Flats Ball '76 was a big success, and the two Spring Concerts ' brought our season to a close. Y A I vs we V , 1 1 V k , ' ' A 9 Q, .. f 15,41- E E. , J L -Q We Won! The eighth grade class won the Penny Race by a large margin during the United Way Fund Campaign in November, In addition to that, the eighth grade was also very successful in many other activities. They organized the Miss La Palma election and sponsored the Thanksgiving Dance where Lori Mortley was crowned Miss La Palma. Leading the eighth grade students in these activities were the eighth grade officers. Sharon Kyomen did an out- standing job printing posters and making signs for the Miss La Palma election and other eighth grade activities. No wonder she was elected President! Frankie Colacion was Vice-president, Shari Hanson was Secretary, and janet Pavlovsky was Treasurer. All the girls did a great job. The eighth grade class ended the year by sponsoring the Graduation Dance as a farewell gift to the departing ninth grade students. All in all, the eighth grade class was a very spirited one which created their share of special mem- ories. ff ,Q-I.
