The Freshman class was a very spirited one. They gathered together to create many memories which will be cherished for years. Gail Reese, as Ninth Grade President, and Karen Choate, Vice-President, worked hard to make sure the Ninth Grade class was a successful one. Cindy Vargas was elected Ninth Grade Secretary, and Cindy Childress was chosen as Treasurer. Both girls helped immensely as the spirited Freshrnen sponsored the Christmas Dance on December 12 and the fantastic and patriotic Spirit of '76 Dance in january. Both dances were events which will last in our memories. The Freshman class also acted as the leaders for the school by showing the Eighth Grade and Seventh Grade students the proper way to act in a junior high school. The best example of their role as leaders was the way in which the Freshmen showed spirit and pride during Spirit Week. 14! Freshmen
