President Maria Elena Martinez CHIC A NO CLUB Chicano Club is organizing a trip to Centre de Amparo Orphange in Ensenada, Mexico for the pvirpose of sharing food and clothing with the children there. Sponsor Mrs. Desseoker GERMAN CLUB German Club was very busy this year doing such things as: Fund raising projects in December-Dinner Party in February- German Contest at California State FuUerton in April- and a District -wide field day in May. President Carl Macerallea Sponsor Miss Lockwood President Cindv Palmer FRENCH CLUB French Club started the year with the annual picnic at Irvine Park, activities included tug-o-war, gunny sack races, three legged races, egg tosses, volleyball, bike riding, hiking and eating. Nov. roller skating. Dec. Christmas party. Spring ice skating, bike rally- beach party and Dinner in a French Restaurant.

Sponser Mrs. Croft SPEECH CLUB During this year the Speech Club participated in six speech contests. Jeff Baker, Denise Mitts, Diane Reynolds and Peggy Brydiall recieved certificates. The president is Diane Reynolds and the Secretary is Peggy Byrd. Speech Club had a recognition picnic in the spring. President Diane Reynolds Sponsor Mrs. Keyes President Gilbert Perez LIBRARY CLUB The Library Club Activities planned for the year were: collection of food for Christmas Basket, Pinata Party, Sucker Sale, field trips to Huntington Library and Disneyland, sponsoring a booth during Spirit VVeek and Book Fair and special activities to celebrate National Library Week and the International Book Year. Projects include the buying of audio-visual items for the library.
