Sponsor Mr. Taylor CHESS CLUB President Ken Canficld Learning to win and enjoy chess was the object of Chess Club. The club had to work together and learned together special moves and strategy. Most of the pupils improved. PHOTO CLUB Learning to develop, en large, and take pictures was the object of this year ' s Photo Club. They took every kind of picture you can think of. Mr. Taylor sponsored this club at La Palma and it turned out to be a very rewarding club. President Rick Hagen

The club selects new members every semester. This year we took field trips to Hillcrest Park, NBC Studios, and the Queen Mary. In addition we also held banquet in the spring for our parents. LIBERTY BELLES Liberty Bells-Tliis group of ninth grade girls was organized to promote and encourage school spirit. They are helping sell spirit buttons, attending all games as a group, and having a food booth at the Spirit Week Carnival. Sponsor Miss Jones President Myma Ewing . c. c. Spenser Mrs. Franks I. C. C. was a new group formed this year at La Palma. 1. C. C. consists of the presidents of all the clubs. I.C.C. ' s Objectives are to help in the planning and coordinating of activities involving our campus clubs.
