THE SENIOR CLASS OF LaMOILLE COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL PRESENTS THE 1967 LION’S ECHO CONTENTS Wc, the Class of 1967, dedicate this annual to a man who has earned the respect of the students and community, and has promoted school spirit and good sportsmanship to prompt our athletes to victory. PRIZE-PICS HOMECOMING WOPUlU .Mwnrticiv 13 HOMECOMING 1967 Monday, October 17th, marked the beginning of LaMoille s annual Homecoming week with four centers designated as hot spots for the preparation of the class floats. Next, the annual Thursday night bonfire and pep rally raised the spirits of the students and players. The fiery cheerleaders, spirited captains, and the fidgety coaches gave enthusiasm to the crowd. Then on Friday, the 21st, at 2:30, we paraded our band, floats, queen candidates, cheerleaders, and participants in the children's divisions for the community to see. All of these proclaimed the downfall of the Wyanet Eagles to the paws of the LaMoille Lions. Dancers enjoy romantic setting. “TRY TO Queen Julie and King Randy The Royal Couple As the night progressed, the game found the paws of the Mighty Lions being stepped on by the Wyanet Eagles with a final score of 13-25. Joe DeZutti provided the annual Homecoming dance with music to support the theme, Try to Remember . At eleven o'clock the Junior candidate, Julie Beatty, was crowned Queen by Captain Randy Stouffer. Captain Dan DeLong then presented Queen Julie with one dozen red roses. This Homecoming proved to be a very exciting event to remember. The class of 1967 really produced some winners. Their fields of occupations vary' greatly. Let's look in and see what each class member will be doing in the year 1987. Out of the class five became farmers, Ken Bohm is now a very successful scientific farmer. He has invented a new vine which produces gold nuggets in the shape of cucumbers. The only trouble is keeping people out of his patch. James Faber is running his own dairy’ cattle farm. His specialty; cows that milk themselves. Denny Ayers has just been named Farmer of the Year. He was presented with the award by the President of the United States. He now owns 20,000 acres. Tom Lewis is now the president of the SRRP. The Society’ for the Restoration of Runt Pigs. Denny Faber now owns the biggest John Deere factory in the United States. His newest invention is a 20 bottom plow. Many of the class went into the business field. Larry’ Bonnell is now running his own motorcycle shop called Bonnell Bombers . Larry Lucas is now head barber at the curly top barber shop. Marilyn Thompson is now the head secretary at the red-head wig corporation called Carrot Top Wig Inc. Neva Wolf has just returned from Paris after the grand opening of her new A-go-go palace the Powder Puff . Candy Lucas is now president of the corporation who is printing her latest candy cookbook titled Make Delicious Candy with Candy . Jeff Beatty’ is now a famous undertaker. His slogan is I'll be the last one to put you down. James Meyer has now taken over Meyer Heating Co. after moving to his new location in Florida. His biggest problem seems to be controlling the thermometer. Celeste Bauer is now operating her own vocal school. All of her students can hit the note of A. The only trouble is she has a hard time keeping windows in the building. CLASS PROPHECY Daniel Myers is now a very famous race driver. He has won the Indianapolis 500 the past two years with his super-duper Maroon GTO. Martha Jordan is head hat-check girl at the M R Eat Shop in LaMoille. Bob Williams is now a Chevrolet used car salesman. He owns 100 acres of used Chevrolet's. John Harvey is now the head mechanic at the Rich man's Car Repair Garage. The tools he uses are solid gold. Loraine Grothen is now the head technician at Reese Hospital. She has discovered a cure for school-work fatigue. Her cure is no school . Steve McCall and Dale Holloway are now New York business Tycoons. They have swept through the business world very easily because of all the wonderful training from Mr. Madsen. We now see Joel Rett as a very famous scientist. He is the head foreman on the project to get the first man on the sun. Beverly Gross, now Mrs. Wes Blackwell, is the owner of the Bell Telephone company. They decided to give her the company because she has made so many calls to Germany. Veronica Jackson and Diane Klein are now running an exclusive winter resort for tall, dark and handsome SINGLE men. Lynn Martin is head bookkeeper of all the V.C. fertilizer plants of America. Tom Lamkin is the head bartender at the exclusive Play-Boy Club in Chicago. Ken Lampe is a pilot of Disaster Airlines. His biggest problem is learning how to fly the planes. Barb Scriba is now the head surgical nurse at Mayo Clinic. Her main problem is fainting at the sight of blood. Jim Hild is now basketball coach for a famous team in the land of the Pygmies. As you can see, he is having a very hard time of it. You might have read Kay Hildebrand's latest article in the Ladies Home Journal. It was titled How to Make a Gourmet Meal out of plain ole' hamburger. The rest of the occupations are like Heinz 57 varieties. Dan DeLong and Maurie Meyer are now raising a little football team consisting of 11 members and 2 benchwarmers. Howie Thayer, is now living in Arabia taking care of his harem. Randy Stouffer is now a major in the U.S. Air Force. The men under him are called Randy's Rebel Raiders. Larry Cromwell can be seen teaching graduate college math at Brain Unanymous College. They have not yet found a problem he could not solve. Jim Haas is now a very famous lawyer. He has won every case. On account of him every cow must have a leash on it. Steve Westerlund is the celebrity of the class. He has just completed a command performance for the Queen of England. We see Susan Anderson as a very happy Kindergarten teacher. She teaches the children how to make sand castles. I hear she has quite a bit of experience. Last but not least is Hal Adkins who is a junk dealer in LaMoille. His slogan is You wreck em, I'll wreck 'em and I'll junk 'em all. 72 73 Don't Be Behind the 8-Ball . . . READ MENDOTA REPORTER Your Local Newspaper GOSLIN DRUG STORES, INC.
