Linda Trembly and Keith Freeberg had roles in the Little 8 One-Act Play, The Running Tide, which received second place. Our class play, Curtain Going Up, directed by Mrs. Gillingham, was a great success. On the 27th of April the most important event of the year was held--the Junior-Senior Prom. A setting of blue decorations, a white bridge, and blue angel-hair accented the theme, Fantasia. The year we had waited for finally arrived--we were Seniors! Mr. Doemer became our new class sponsor. Under his guidance, we elected the following officers: Don Piller, Connie Martin, Myra Trembly, Mike Madsen, Renee Piper, Myra File, and De Ann Pinter. Connie Martin, our Homecoming queen candidate, was crowned queen. Our float, Let's Dunk 'Em, featuring a coffee cup and doughnut, rated second. Our class play, If a Man Answers , was a smash hit. On Februrary 12, our class sponsored a Valentine dance. Our candidates for queen and king were Linda Molln and Mike Madsen. On April 30, we were honored with the Junior-Senior Prom, Shangrila. The gym was decorated oriental-style with green, pink, and gold decorations. Our Track queen was Myra Trembly. On May 27, we, the Class of 66 , graduated from L.C.H.S. Our class chose to spend the Senior class trip at the Jack and Jill Ranch in Michigan. It has been a wonderful four years, but now we, like the classes before us, must venture into the future. Yet, we will always have fond memories of our high school days and a special place in our hearts for our Alma Mater--L.C.H.S. Class Flower--Red Rose Class Colors--Red and White Class Motto-- We have crossed the River, but the Ocean lies before us. ♦Officers are listed in this order: president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, Student Council representative, G.A.P.C. representative, and reporter. Here are the graduates- few years older and a little wiser--with their lives as they are today. Don PiUer is the head coach of the New York Yankees. They have a great losing streak going! Linda Molln is the private secretary to the world's largest single corporation--Bachelor's Anonymous. Lee Losey is well-known for his wonderful voice. He has had many engagements at Carnegie Hall. Keith Freeberg, LaMoille's own Personal scuba diver, enjoys a leisurely life in the Navy. He specializes in searching for mermaids! Curtis Marcum has become quite wealthy as a farmer. It seems he developed a plant that will grow money. It has proved to be more profitable than com. Gail Bauer is now head medical technician at Mayo's Clinic. She is noted for her discovery of the secret ingredients for Love Potion No. 9. It has proven successful in the catching of her husband, a multi-millionaire doctor. Brian Cassidy now has a barber shop on Sunset Strip in Hollywood. He is well known for his famous Cassidy Cut, which has brought him wealth as well as fame. Bruce Becker is now head math professor at the University of Illinois. He teaches only those students majoring in a Mrs. degree. Richard Goubeaux is now in Florida teaching Arnold Palmer how to play golf. Mike Smith is now a drivers' education teacher. He specializes in the teaching of modem driving techniques--ability to do wheelies, to speed shift, to out run cops, and to make squeal marks! Myra File is Mid-America's most popular hair stylist. Her fame stems from the styles she has created for redheads. Mike Madsen has now taken over the job of Principal at L.C.H.S. from his father who has now retired to his rocking chair! DeAnn Pinter is a very successful speech therapist. One of her most faithful students is a fellow who brings her quite a bit of trouble. She just can't seem to be able to get rid of his southern accent. Les Wamhoff has now created America's most unusual floral design, but can not find a market for it. Terry King is now vice-president of the Pinter Speech Therapy Society and he is the main pupil. Donna Portzen is now working at the Mendota Community Hospital as a pediatric nurse. She has her own pediatrics ward at home--three little Ron's ! Lanry Holloway and Ron Walzer, two big business tycoons, are now in the business of publishing little black books. Debby Spiegel has won the Nobel Prize for her efforts in science. She has developed a cure for Love Sickness. Bernice Zimmerlein is a well-known veterinarian in this area. It is said that the Keutzer farm has the healthiest animals in the county! Kendall Keutzer is an Agricultural Engineer. His farm designs are known for their ease of operation. He now manages his whole farm from his bedside. Myra Trembly's nursing career proves quite helpful in the caring for all the cuts and scratches of her seven football players. George Esterday, a famous race car driver, is still going for his first win of the Indianapolis 500. His trouble seems to be that his slicks are too slippery and he can't get started. Renee Piper and Ann Ultch are now running a vacation resort strictly for bachelors. Tony Taylor has recently opened a swinging night club, The Hangover, in LaMoille! His associate, Mike Kenny, is Tony's chief bartender. Mike's speciality, The Kenny Killer, really hangs 'em over! Lauren Fonderoli is now executive secretary to her husband at the Koch Contracting Company. During her off working hours she takes care of their four children. Julie Venardi is now in her first year of elementary school after twenty years of college preparation. A1 Harris is engaged in the racing field. A1 is still running into trouble these days-if it isn't his horses going lame, it's his rear ends going out. Betty Happ, Lynne Fonderoli, Ruth Heiserman, and Linda Trembly are all highly qualified secretaries. Miss Stem taught them all she knew, but they are still looking for jobs. Rosemary Stanard is now a local beautician. She sure has her work cut out for her! 1 Pat Flanagan has finally brought about a new break-through in the automobile industry. He has designed a Volks -wagon that a 7' man can fit into! Now all he has to do is figure out a way of getting him out. Linda Grothen is now a private nurse to our old retired principal, Mr. Madsen. She keeps pumping him full of pep pills to keep him in good spirits. The last to arrive at the reunion is, of course, Dick Monroe. Dick is now retired; he has been since he was eighteen. 74 CLASS WILL I, Gail Bauer, do hereby will to some poor, unsuspecting Junior the lead in the Senior play, and to Christine E. my ability to like certain people.
