The event: the reunion of the Class of 57 This will be the first time the whole class is together at one time since graduation. We agreed to meet here at Ronnie Johnson's exclusive dude ranch for our reunion where we can relax in the sun and reminisce over the good old days. Ron. as you know, remained a bachelor because he couldn't make up his mind but his ranch keeps him pretty busy. The first person we see here is Suzi Drummer. She went to Hollywood to meet her one and only Hound Dog. She is now running close competition with Lassie and Rin-Tin-Tin. Next is Aldina Fusinetti who is in the news as being the hostess on the first jet flight to the moon. After the reunion she will go directly to the airport where she is scheduled to leave for Mars. Close behind her is Janice Steele, the first chair saxophone player in the All-Boy Orchestra at Yale. Of course, she pays very close attention to her music. Next in sight is Ronnie Moore. He is the personal secretary to Slim Domino, Fat's brother, who has a new record out of the old hit, Raspberry Mountain . Look who just came peeling in--Jerry Pierson. He is a driving instructor for the Careful Drivers Insurance Company . Beverly Martin has already arrived. She designs muzzles for women who have weakened jaw muscles from talking so much. Also here is Richard Haas who is head of a company that manufactures brushes for handle bar mustaches. Richard also belongs to a society that is trying to promote the wearing of mustaches. Recently returned from an expedition is Rolf Maris. His last trip was an attempt to uncover the old city of LaMoille which slowly began disappearing after the Class of 57 left. Marla Jean Alshouse, who won the Betty Crocker Homemaking Award, is a world's famous seamstress. Her fame was won by sewing powder puffs on poor little rabbits that got too close to the lawn mower. Bruce Beattie is Chief Executive of the Undecided Lonely Hearts Club but he really isn't too lonely. He has Kim Novak for his secretary. Clifford Brown makes Handy Dandy potato peelers in his spare time away from his job as window washer at the YWCA. Jacqueline Venardi is advertising manager for Slenderella. Judy Robbins, our tall blonde, now is a famous model who models strait jackets for crooked people. Nancy Ugland runs an antique shop that specializes in modern furniture. Dave Stuepfert is star of the Sadler Wells Ballet Company. He dances to the well-known strains of Lions' Rock . Rita Hassler left her job with the Robert Hall Clothing Store in Chicago to join the class out here. With her came Mary Nothnagel who is a cab driver in New York. We remember Mary for her calm nerves and her inability to get shook while driving. Jeanette Faber, formerly Jeanette Fischer, has formed an Air Force team with Richard Faber. They have six little jets. I think that everyone in the Class of 57 has made a fine name for himself, don't you? CLASS WILL We, the Senior Class of 1957 of La Moille Community High School, being of small quantity and high quality, do hereby think up and write down this, our last will and testament. To the Faculty we leave all our pencil calluses. To the Custodians we leave all the ink eraser dust from our typing classes. To the Junior Class we leave the ability to get our annual pages sent back, so they can stretch out the fun as long as possible. To the Sophomore Class we leave all the moldy gym clothes that aren't claimed at the end of the year. To the Freshmen we leave our ability to be a quiet and orderly class. Those who looked after us were Mr. Ciciora and Miss Bower, our class sponsors. Chosen to lead these novices for their first year while they found their way around was Roland Littlewood, with Jim Leffelman as assistant. Keeper of the record was Janice Becker, and Janice Barkman was safe-keeper. Others chosen were Herbie Blackwell, Student Council Representative; Ruth Stuepfert and Mike Cassiday, G. A. P. C. Representatives; and Carole Marcum, Reporter. Janice Barkman was elected Homecoming Queen. The year started off with initiation. After bowing down to the Seniors all day and doing the stunts, the refreshments served by the Juniors seemed very good. During the year, Jim Trowridge visited briefly and Bob Chalden left us. CICIORA'S CONCERT REDCOATS The first opportunity the Redcoats had to play in Concert formation was at the North Side Booster Club Festivities in Princeton. Competing with other bands the Redcoats were fortunate enough to place second in the contest. From this point on its activities were mainly those of playing at school sponsored functions. The band was happy to'be able to furnish music for the Junior Class play held in the fall and the Senior Class play held in the Spring. During the winter months, home conference basketball games provided the opportunity for the band to display its versatile ability. Displaying their Christmas spirit the Redcoats put on a Christmas program at the Grade and High School consisting of all Christmas songs. Participating in the Annual District Band Contest gave the Redcoats a chance to compete with other bands of their own class. Rating second in the Contest gave the Redcoats another chance to be proud of themselves. The Solo and Ensemble Contest also gave eighteen of Ciciora's Redcoats a chance to participate with their own class. Eight of these Redcoats were awarded FIRST place and were allowed to enter the STATE CONTEST. Eight of these Redcoats again pulled another FIRST at STATE. STATE being the highest to go gave these eight Redcoats a chance to really walk around their heads held high for jobs real well done. The Band Banquet was held on May 24. This was sponsored by The Band Booster Club and gave the Redcoats a chance to walk off with the Band awards they had earned during the year and past years in band. The John Phillip Sousa Award was a new award added to the band by the Band Booster Club to the outstanding Senior in band. This was awarded to Jan Steele. The Redcoats were also asked to appear at Springfield State Fair, but up to the point of publication it is unknown whether they will participate. Performing at the Bureau County Fair will bring the 1956-57 band season to a close. Director Mr. Ciciora CICIORA'S MARCHING REDCOATS The band year 1956-57 found many new faces in the band. The newest and most frequently seen was our new Redcoat Director, Mr. Ciciora. The school year kept the band busy preparing for home football games with Sheffield, Malden, Wyanet, and Neponset. Half-time performances were varied throughout the season and added extra entertainment to the public. The Redcoats biggest disappointment of the marching season was The Homecoming. Due to a great deal of moisture in the air and a great deal of water on the ground the Redcoats were unable to thrill the public with the great show they had worked up for the half-time show. Two fall festivals in Princeton again gave the Bureau County residents the opportunity to see and hear the band organization we have in LaMoille.
