Student ouncct The Student Council was organized to help promote good feeling between students and teachers and to help settle problems concerning the student body. The Council awards Activity Club letters to those who earn 450 activity points and help to decide matters of school discipline. The purpose of the General Assembly Program Committee is to present educational and entertaining programs. During the year we had several individual acts and other types of entertainment. Standing from left to right: Jack Swanson, Mrs. Bender, Jack Chalden, Adrienne Boulay, Carol Anderson, and Carol Pinter. ittCe £ty£t One s4ct 'PCay The annual Little Eight One Act Play Contest was held during the afternoon and evening of March 15th; La Moille won first, Manlius second, Neponset third in the Contest judged by Mr. C. Eric Bickley, Technical Director, of University Theatre at Illinois State Normal University. Ohio.Wyanet, Sheffield, and Tiskilwa also participated. For her performance as Ana in Legend of the Lake Adrienne Boulay won two awards. Best Major Role for Girls and Best Individual; for her role as Miguelita, a mute, Carole Anderson won Best Minor Role for Girls. t ule'i4tcccUe During the third year of Einstein’s Understudies the following officers were elected: Carole Anderson, President; Garth Conard, Vice President; Marylu Pierson, Secretary-Treasurer; Marlas Happ, Reporter. The purpose of Einstein's Understudies is to promote interest in the field of science and to encourage students to enter the field of science. During the year we had two outside speakers, a panel discussion on narcotics and some scientific movies. The student librarians are volunteers who like to read, to keep the books in order, and to catalog new books. Driver Education is open to students sixteen years old or over. The course consists of class room work, skill tests and actual training behind the wheel. An AAA automobile with dual controls is used. One-half credit is granted to those who pass the course. The course is open only to those students who are old enough to secure a temporary driver's permit or a driver's license.
