We elected the following as officers of our class: Wayne McCray President; Margo Thompson, Vice President; Nancy Becker, Secretary; Carol Bonnell, Treasurer; Elizabeth Norris’ Reporter; Carol Bonnell, Sandra Selders, G. A. P. C. Representatives; Mrs. Yonk and Miss Bower, Sponsors. Claudia Adkins was our homecoming queen. We went through many hardships during freshman initiation. We have 34 members in our class. We lost Robert Manning during this year. 15

We elected the following officers: Bruce Beattie, President; Ronnie Johnson, Vice President; Janice Steele, Secretary-Treasurer; Nancy Ugland, Reporter; David Stuepfert, Student Council Representative; Mrs. Mowers, Mr. Baxter, Sponsors. Our Class queen was Janice Steele. On September 28, 1953 came the day that all Freshman dread, initiation. The Sophomores dressed us up and the Seniors made us do many terrible things. The Juniors took pity on us and served us refreshments. During the year we lost Ruby Walker. . , In the fall of '54 we came back to school. We elected the following as officers of our class: Ronnie Johnson, President; David Stuepfert, Vice President; Janice Thone, Secretary; Jeanette Fischer, Treasurer. Our queen was Jeanette Fischer. During the year we lost Eddie Fultz. 14
