Starting from the first day of early practice the student body has found a great way to have fun and socialize as a unified group. The first mixer We experienced in this school year was a great way to get acquainted with the new faces. Since then, mixers have been planned to release tens ions, relax and raise spirits. Mixers have also been an outlet for people to reveal some of their favorite groups and songs. A few of the most played songs this year Were Devil Inside by INXS, Saw Her Standing There by the Beetles, and Thorn In My Side by the Eurythmics. Generally, planned mixers were in the F.A.B. and spontaneous mixers occured on the senior patio. Mixers are a great tradition here at La Lu- miere, and we continue to enjoy mixers for years to come. They want- ed a place to learn, a place to grow, and a place to love. The setting was a quiet wood out on a lake. The peace and serenity of land were to reflect the simple oals. We aghave a home in La Lumiere. Our home is not free from troubles, but we bare them together. Mr. fone: asks questions in the Quiz Bowl 1 .yt 5. . N W , I This year Interim Program was a special event at La Lumiere. The activities ranged from video making to Event? Hopping. The Interim Program occured the week before Spring Break and it gave the students a time to learn new things and experience the unknown. The students had a chance to go to the Windy City for a day, take a nature walk, toboganning, and play poker on Las Vegas night. There were fun times, but in between the fun there were some profitable outcomes. La Lumiere has its first video tape, the students learned what an oak leaf looked like, and several students saw there first piece of art work during Interim. Next year Interim will he as educational, but how can it he as fun? - How can anyone forget zany games? ES
