CHRISTIAN NURSING EDUCATION Not to be ministered unto, but to minister, the motto of our school, is the basis for the philosophy upon which is built our total educational program. It has been stated that the basic objective of good education is to develop the total personal capacities of the individual. In a Christian educa- tional institution such an objective is not complete. For what purposes are one's personal capacities developed? For self? For society? For God? We contend that developing self for the sake of self, results in selfishnessg developing self for the sole purpose of serving our society is purely humanitariang but to develop one's abilities for the purpose of glorifying God through one's service to society will bring blessing to others and satisfaction to self. In Christian Nursing Education the total program bends to this one great purpose-that of producing Christian nurses who can truly nurse the total individual, mind, body, and soul.
