Her optimism and her friendly chuckle contribute to her enjoyment of life. VESTA MILLER. Archbold. Ohio Her jolly laugh is symbolic of her friendliness and spirit of fun, but she can he serious enough in work and study. Teasing is one of her hobbies. OPAL SAUDER. Archbold. Ohio She may be small in stature but she displays an abundance of kindliness and sincerity. Opal is conscientious in everything she does and is neat- ness personified. MYRTLE SCHWEITZER. Protection. Kansas Myrtle, a former school teacher, is studious, energetic, and dependable. Her congeniality and characteristic laugh make her welcome every- Where. HAZEL SCHROCK. Ligonier, Indiana Hazel believes in saying what she thinks and meaning what she says. Dependable, industrious, and con- scientious in every detail, she also is always ready for some fun. ESTHER SWARTZENDRUBER, Hopedale. Illinois Swartzy , who is as tall as her name is long, adds quiet boise to our classy she lets no situation bother her. Most of Esther's spare time is spent in crocheting. ALMEDA TROYER, Goshen. Indiana VVith a good book and some good music Almedu is ready to spend a quiet evening at home. She is adapt- ed to the household arts and is a dependable helper in work and fun. WILMA WENGER. Wellman. Iowa VVilma's keen sense of humor, wit- tiness. and capability add much to our class. She is known as being the recipient of numerous letters and also numerous boxes of food from home. 29

ADELLA BRUNK. Goshen. Indiana Adella, individualistic and original in her ideas, has often surprised us by her between the lines remarks. She is an ardent hicyclist and pic- nicker as well as the owner of an enlightening' scrap book. , CHOLE CANEN. Elkhart, Indiana Quiet? You don't know her then for she is full of vitality and the possessor of a keen sense of humor. Chloe is studious, domestic. a good pianist and a proud aunt. HELEN CUTRELL. Denver. Colorado WVhen a bright remark is being quoted. it was probably Cutrell who originated it. She has a Citx' girl's ignorance of farm life. Dur- ing' affiliation she felt right at home in Denver. ALICE EICHELBERGER. Wayland. Iowa Alice is il loyal Iowan who has an optimistic sense of humor. She is knwn as being tall, dignified, ener- getic und a sincere Christian. FLORENCE GOODMAN. Goshen. Indiana Florence is known for her lovely soprano voice, contagious laughter, and quick, efficient nursing service. She loves to go places and do things. ARLENE GRIESER. Wauseon. Ohio Arlene may not be very big but she has a great capacity for enjoy- ing life and afternoon siestas. She is an energetic nurse with definite likes and dislikes. MABEL GUENGERICH. Goshland. Missouri ' At first Mabel may seem quiet but you will soon find she possesses a witty humor and cheery laughter along with her red hair. She knows how to dress attractively. PAULINE HERSHEY. La Junta. Colorado Pauline's black sparkling eyes rc- veal her love for teasing people. She is kindhearted, generous, and al- ways calm. 28
