Although Cross Country is not considered to be a major sport, La Jolla has reason to be proud of it's team. Under the supervision of Coach Mac- Laren, the Viking harriers finished 5thin the City League, beating Saint Au- gustine, Lincoln, Kearny, and Crawford. They picked up lst places in both the Mount San Antonio and Aztec Southern California Invitational meets. Graduating this year will be John Parsons, Dick Lee and Dave Rearwin, but with the returning lettermen Mike Dragila, Rosey Ramos, Pat McNalley, Tom McLean, Jon Coombe, and Dick Grennan, La Jolla will again be the team to watch at Morley Field. lfhe lowest score winsl Q gi La Jana 30 - Point Loma l7 ,li A, t i fm irr Qskijf La Jolla 29 - Grossmont 28 'A ,i,' ly V,:.,, iij wfmlr ll L3 Jolla 2l - Saint Augustine 35 Ex I. 13 La Jolla 3l - San Diego 26 vi, st,,, Q A 4 5 VVV, lst place-Mount San Antonio h i , V , ,JVVZ Invitational A., jiri- i i !
