First day of school - back to the old routine again. Cheerleaders' tryouts. Ooh-lah-lah. First football game at Northwestem-off to a good start, we wonl Hamilton here. Our foot slipped-first defeat. Freshman Home Ec. girls Tea for Mothers. Nice girls. Warsaw here. An exciting tie, I3-13. Stronghurst there. Another win. National F.F,A, Convention at Kansas City. Gee, so many boysl Bonfire at South side of Park. Quite a fire, too. Loads of fun. End of first six weeks. Those testsl Homecoming game with Carthage. We lost 39-13, Teachers Institute at Quincy-Whoopie, no school. Homecoming dance at Clubhouse. What a crowdl F.F.A. hog sale. The money those boys made! Football at Westem. What a close one-our favor, though I4-13. District G,A.A. playday at La Harpe. Lots of rain, but lots of fun. Gladstone -Oquawka -here, another win for us. Freshman bake sale--cookies, cakes, candy. Leroy, the magician here for assembly. Can you do all those tricks? Southeastern there. We won that one also. F.F.A, Fat stock Judging, here, more boys. Senior Class Play - a fine show, Seniors. High School Music Festival at Carthage-Voices as sweet as birds. F.F.A. Section xr Grain Show at Industry. Such fine crops. F.l-l.A, All-school party. More fun. Thanksgiving. Yah-another holiday. No school - We lglgvacations. International Livestock Show at Chicago starts, Fine livestock. First basketball game with Gladstone -Oquawka here. A victory for us. Assembly program with Otto Schact. Be proud of America. Colchester there. They beat us IO points. Livestock Show at Chicago ends. Nauvoo here. Another loss. Hamilton here. Such a heartbreaker ffor La Harpey. Slumber party G.A.A. - Little sleep for those gals that night. Senior Bake Sale - One of those things again? Dallas City here - We finally won another game! School Masters Banquet at Plymouth.
