FRESHMAN INITIATION The Freshman class of 1952 '53 was 1n1t1ated 1nto La Grange I-hgh School Sept ember 14 The girls wore long underwear and a short dress The boys wore short dresses and old socks A party was held ln the evenmg and refreshments of punch and doughnuts were served FRESHMAN HAYRIDE The Freshman class had a hayrlde October Z They had a marshmallow and wlener roast at the home of Loulse Ma1ers f1rst SENIOR SKATING PARTY October 9 the Senlor class had a skatlng party at SCOtt1eS Parad1se Roller Rlnk 1n Qu1ncy JUNIOR PARTY Frzday October 10 the Junzor class celebrated the successful sale of magazmnes by havmg a party Square dancmg and games were the entertamment of the evenmg SENIOR PARTY The Senlor class had a party at the home of thelr sponsor Mr Olen Gr1esbaum October 23 to sack confettl for the carn1val After sacklng confettl some of the class members played cards HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL The Annual Halloween Carnlval was held October Z4 Z5 The klng and queen were chosen a dlfferent way thls year Currency was changed for pleces of paper wlth the value stamped on xt then when a person made a purchase he wrote the grade of h1s chozce on the back STUDENT COUNCIL PARTY The Student Councll sponsored a party IH honor of the basketball teams November Z6 All h1gh school students thelr dates and hlgh school teachers were 1nv1ted P1ng pong bmgo checkers and carroms were played There Was a treasure hunt and a watermelon stomp Refreshments of punch and cake were served SENIOR TAFFY PULL The Senlor class had a taffy pull Saturday nxght December 6 Volleyball and basketball were played and refreshments were sandwlches milk shakes and candy SURPRISE PARTY FOR SENIOR SPONSOR The Sen1ors had a surprxse blrthday party for Mr Grlesbaum January 10 Games were played and refreshments of soda pop homemade 1ce cream and angel food cake vs ere served ALUMNI BANOUET The alumn1 banquet at La Grange Hlgh School January 17 was attended by a large crowd The gymnaslum was decorated wlth green and Whlte streamers The oldest graduatmg class represented was 1907 Muslc for dancmg was supplled by the Boots Mltchell orchestra from QUIHCY CTE? mmm! - , - 1 1 1 1 . 1 I ' 1 1 1 ' 1 1 ' ' 1 1 1 ' 1 .
