Arnold invited us to his home for supper We accepted the invitation Upon arriving at his home who should meet us at the door but Evelyn Evelyn said that she had forgotten to mention her marriage to Arnold that evening when we talked to her After supper we decided to go to a night club and spend the evening We called a taxi and it arrived at the house in a flash We got 1n and were off with a wh1n1ng of tires as the tall skinny driver maneuvered the car through the street at a breath taking pace Upon arriving at the night club the driver got out and opened the door for us We recognized him as Bobby Heather also an old class mate Bobby said he bought out a taxi company lt was a very profitable business if he didn t average over one Wreck a week We went into the night club and started to check our hats when we recognized the hat check girl as Shirley Brandt a former classmate We were given a table by a man wearing a tuxedo We d1d not recognize him but he asked us for our names and when we told him he said he had gone to school with us and then we recognized him as Benny Lay Benny sa1d that he had some people he would like us to meet We went with him to another table where all the faces seemed familiar to us There We met the owner a former classmate David Farr He had played the stock market and came out ahead Two years before he had bought the night club and was retired from business There was .Toan Breuer who was a model for one of the large dressmakers She told us she had started out modeling underwear for Sears and Roebuck her husband had left her a fortune She lived 1n a large home in Paris but that she had quit working And there was Ann Sprmgett who was a singer at the night club She had become famous with her singing of Mule Train Over at the corner of the table was a sophisticated looking woman I couldn t believe it was Mary Frances Kramer She was rich and held a very high social standing She hardly spoke but looked over her eye glasses without expression We were visiting and having a wonderful time when one of the waiters brought a telegram to us lt was from the foreman of the ranch He wanted us to hurry home because of a blizzard headed down from the Rocky Mountains We said good bye to everyone and Henry started to drive us to the airport At the airport we were stopped by a talkative woman selling eggs She was short and as broad as she was tall I was slow to recognize my sister in law the former Elaine Smith Elaine and my brother raised chickens on a large farm at the edge of Paris Elaine said she had to do all of the work We left her still talking at a terrific rate After boarding a plane a lovely steward ess came along to make us comfortable Who do you suppose it was 'P It was none other than Kathleen Lillard She made us comfortable and sat down by Nunn I think he was about to forget about staying a bachelor by the time we reached the town closest to our ranch We said good bye to Kay and went back to the ranch to think about our visit with our classmates and friends we knew at L H S Virginia Tuley was there in fabulous clothes- She said she had married and
