The L. H. S. second string basketball team was also a credit to this class because it was composed mainly of sophomores. Though working under many difficulties, this class has pulled through in fine shape and has a good start for its junior year.

H. S. were carefully flung wide to one of the most talented classes in its history. The class is usually known as the “rooks.” Soon after school opened they became acquainted and selected their leader, Dan Biggs, to pull them out of the mire of high school life. The first function for which the rooks were responsible was the freshman stunt given in the fall just before the football game with Baker. This began their dramatic career. In April they gave their talent assembly, and furthered their reputation in that line. The rooks have a long trail ahead of them, but the class has a lot of spirit, and they will probably come out all right.
