I, Sherry Miller, leave my little iokes to Sharon Pell in hopes she can remember them better than I do. , I, Von Milliner, leave to any worthy Junior the editorship of the LACOHI and a box of aspirins. To Kenneth Rogers my art of arguing at any time .and any reason. I, Bobby Johns, leave my bottle of he-man vitamin pills and padded shoulders to Leland Weaver. A suitable list of girls' names to Robert Stair for him to use. I, Jean Pogue, leave my skirts with large pockets to Janice Cooper, so that she may carry all her possessions with her. I, Ronnie Martin, leave to Uncle Jerry Shaw all my secret charms that attracts the girls, wanting to keep this secret in the family. I, Donna Mendenhall, leave to Marilyn Gilbert the editorship of the CITIZEN and hope she has the wonderful co-operation and fun that I have had with my staff. I, Paul Fogel, leave to Richard Thompson private lessons on the art of turning a corner on one wheel in my Chevie. I, Eloise Preston, leave to Nancy Jervis my ability to keep calm at ballgames and a pillow to soften her falls. I,Jim Burgan, leave to Jane Fager the keys to my father's Nash and an alphe- betized list of boys she might want to get acquainted with. I, Bobbie Sue McCoIlister, leave my ability to get up at 7:45 and be ready when the school bus comes at 7:55 to Dave Owen. I, Norman Sollars, leave my curly hair and guitar to Jim Cunningham and also a book on the best loved hillbilly songs. I, Merle Melick, leave to Terry Martin my pleasing smile and long eyelashes which will aid him in becoming No. I man on the popularity poll. I, Gene Murphy, leave to Donna Dailey my ability to sleep in the assembly and get caught at it. To Carl Cloud my great mathematical mind and my shyness. I, Rebecca Stanley, leave my seat, the first seat next to the windows, to Bill O'Banion so that he may be the first out of the assembly when the 3:30 bell rings. I, Dick King, leave my position as President of the SENIOR CLASS to John Brane. To Dale Hullinger I leave my position as cheerleader knowing this will please him. I, Jessie Haggerty, leave my dark flashing eyes and my ability to flirt and get by without causing any bad feelings to Carolyn Floyd. I, Eldon Stevens, leave to Shirley Luckety my safe and careful driving techniques, also I will be available to give her lessons whenever necessary. I, Richard Luckey, leave my accomodating ways and ability to get along with others to Teddy Voyles. I, Donald Weaver, leave to Jim Sellers my height which I am sure he will be able to put to use while playing basketball. WE, THE SENIOR CLASS WILL take with us our MOST CHERISHED POSSESSION, our MEMORIES OF OUR TWELVE YEARS OF SCHOOL LIFE. MAY OUR PATHS CROSS MANY TIMES IN THE FUTURE . . .

SENIOR CLASS WILL WE-THE SENIOR CLASS OF NINETEEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY-THREE-realizing that our last year of school life is fast coming to a close, wish to bequeath to our friends the miscellaneous collection of treasured items we have gathered in the last twelve years. Being of douthful mind we do solemnly swear this to be our last will and testament. ARTICLE I To our Superintendent, Mr. Clarence Vandegrift, we bequeath our warmest re- gards and best wishes. To our Trustee, Mr. Robert McKinley, we bequeath our deepest respect and are proud to have known him. To our Principal, MR. THOMAS R. BOWMAN, we bequeath our thanks, apprecia- tion and a lasting friendship. Also we leave to Mr. Bowman our humble apolo- gies for the grey hairs we have given him during the past six years. We are very proud to have Mr. Bowman as our Principal. To our Faculty, we bequeath our thanks and respect for the guidance and friend- ship they have shown us. To Mrs. Caroline Deckard, we bequeath all our bad habits to put on display in her English classes. Also a special thanks for the wonderful iob she did directing our Junior and Senior plays. To Mr. Verl Woodring, we bequeath a pocket-book edition of his favorite sport entitled, How to Tell a Better Fish Story. To Mr. Robert Tussey, we bequeath a modern contour chair to relax in while teaching business math and an electric typewriter for his own use. To Mr. Cecil Sanders, we bequeath our slightly used Civics books and a black- board made especially for left-handed writers. To Mrs. Florence Emrick, we bequeath two measuring cups, a safety-pin, and a set of bar-bells to use in her physical education classes. To Mr. Robert Sheffer, we bequeath a small black book containing the names of all eligible girls in hopes that he will find one to his liking. To Mr. Charles Steidle, we bequeath a megaphone to use at ballgames and a two-by-four to pound on the assembly desk to quiet the morning assemblies. To Mr. George Thompson, we bequeath a polishing cloth so that he may shine all the instruments before each ballgame and a tuning fork to get them started on the right note. ARTICLE ll WE, THE SENIOR CLASS, do bequeath to the industrious class of 1954 our tradi- tional last two rows of seats next to the windows. It is our hope that they will set a good example for the underclassmen as we have done. We leave also the popcorn machine and all the unused popcorn, knowing they will give them a fresh start next year. We wish them the best of luck in all their activities. WE, THE SENIOR CLASS, do bequeath to the basketball team our hope for a successful- year in 1953 and '54. Our support of you will not stop with graduation.
