SENIOR CLASS WILL WE-THE SENIOR CLASS OF NINETEEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY-THREE-realizing that our last year of school life is fast coming to a close, wish to bequeath to our friends the miscellaneous collection of treasured items we have gathered in the last twelve years. Being of douthful mind we do solemnly swear this to be our last will and testament. ARTICLE I To our Superintendent, Mr. Clarence Vandegrift, we bequeath our warmest re- gards and best wishes. To our Trustee, Mr. Robert McKinley, we bequeath our deepest respect and are proud to have known him. To our Principal, MR. THOMAS R. BOWMAN, we bequeath our thanks, apprecia- tion and a lasting friendship. Also we leave to Mr. Bowman our humble apolo- gies for the grey hairs we have given him during the past six years. We are very proud to have Mr. Bowman as our Principal. To our Faculty, we bequeath our thanks and respect for the guidance and friend- ship they have shown us. To Mrs. Caroline Deckard, we bequeath all our bad habits to put on display in her English classes. Also a special thanks for the wonderful iob she did directing our Junior and Senior plays. To Mr. Verl Woodring, we bequeath a pocket-book edition of his favorite sport entitled, How to Tell a Better Fish Story. To Mr. Robert Tussey, we bequeath a modern contour chair to relax in while teaching business math and an electric typewriter for his own use. To Mr. Cecil Sanders, we bequeath our slightly used Civics books and a black- board made especially for left-handed writers. To Mrs. Florence Emrick, we bequeath two measuring cups, a safety-pin, and a set of bar-bells to use in her physical education classes. To Mr. Robert Sheffer, we bequeath a small black book containing the names of all eligible girls in hopes that he will find one to his liking. To Mr. Charles Steidle, we bequeath a megaphone to use at ballgames and a two-by-four to pound on the assembly desk to quiet the morning assemblies. To Mr. George Thompson, we bequeath a polishing cloth so that he may shine all the instruments before each ballgame and a tuning fork to get them started on the right note. ARTICLE ll WE, THE SENIOR CLASS, do bequeath to the industrious class of 1954 our tradi- tional last two rows of seats next to the windows. It is our hope that they will set a good example for the underclassmen as we have done. We leave also the popcorn machine and all the unused popcorn, knowing they will give them a fresh start next year. We wish them the best of luck in all their activities. WE, THE SENIOR CLASS, do bequeath to the basketball team our hope for a successful- year in 1953 and '54. Our support of you will not stop with graduation.
