Since it was leap year, the Juniors decided that they would elect a queen, and she could choose her leap year king. Darlene Miller chose as 'her king, Charles Hysel. Everyone enjoyed Che announcement party for the queen and the four 'girls who were chosen on her court-Pat Parker, Della Marshall, r'x'.llil'6y Oium and Virginia Nixon.
