wwx 742 Q l C0 M General Science, a freshman course, offers an introduction into the world of physical sciences. Air, water, light, heat, mechanics, electricity, plant and animal life are studied. The class has an enrollment of thirty-four students. Under theinstruction of Mr. Handley the students perform experiments, read widely and keep scrapbooks on various phases of the work. sgwloqw Biology, a laboratory sci- ence, is under the supervision of Mrs. Handley. Members of the class perform experiments and study plant and animal life. In the spring and fall, the students go on field trips to observe wild life and col- lect specimens. -Pa L Q fa' -2-.5 'SQ A 3 The Algebra Classis at work solving an equation. There are 33 freshmen taking this course under the instruction of Miss Mitchell. Algebra is a basic subject not only for the study of further mathematics and for college entrance, but also for related subjects andmany occu- pations.

Miss Mitchell instructs the English III group, and English I and II are taught by Mrs Riley. leibers' of the English II class are shown while working on a speech unit. Bill Gomer- dinger is the student speaking to the class. The study hall is in use each period during the day. At the front of the room is the library which contains about 2,000 volumes. Educa- tional magazines are also available for use by the stu- dents. The librarians in charge of checking books in and out are Naomi Hammett, Barbara Hays, Esther Phalen, larcia Zi mer- man, Margie Johnson, Berneice Long, Ethel Rockwell, and Allen Crisler.
