The Future Farmers of America, or F. F. A., is the national organi- zation of, by, and for boys studying vocational agriculture. Our officers include: Billy Capehart, presidentg Jim Stainbrook, vice-president, Billy Joe Pr'k ' 1 e, secretary, Leo McRae, treasurerg Tommy Gowing, reporterg Duane Capehart, sentinel, and Mr. C. L. Ross, adviser. The primary aim of the F. F. A. is the development of agricultural leadership, co-operation, and citizenship. Activities this year included a pest eradication contest and the initiation of eleven Green Hands.

The purposes of this organization are: to promote a grow- ing appreciation of the joys and satisfactions of homemakingg to emphasize the importance of worthy home membershipg to encourage democracy in home and conh munity lifeg to work for good home and family life for ally to promote inter- national good willg to foster the development of creative leadership in home lifeg to provide wholesome individual and group recreation, and to further in- terest in home economics. Some of the activities for the year included attending district and state conventions at Topeka, a picnic for the F.F.A., selling pop and hot dogs at the football games, a Christmas party for the members and club mothers, and a tea for the girls' mothers in the spring.
