The first step was to elect capable students to prepare the material.The staff decided to call the book NThe Swann to conform to the name of the town and the trad- itions of the community. Blue and silver, the class colors, were chosen for the cover. The regular staff is especially grateful to Lois Rogers, Maretta Reinke,Marie Smith,and Mrs. Leamon for their willing assistance in helping them meet the deadlines.
