To provide the boys with extracurricular activities, the Boys' League organized and spopsored various activities with their sponsors, Mr. Lane, Mr. Padilla, and Mr. Sonnenburg. They began the year with the Boys' and Girls' League car wash which was a rather successful event. Later they were awarded an assembly for selling the most tickets to send Wendy Hicks to Detroit for a table tennis tournament. For this assembly they featured a scuba diving film. In the 'Spring they were again quite busy. They participated in the carnival where they sponsored a baseball throw. In April, they sponsored another car wash. Soon afterwards the Father and Son Banquet was held. Throughout the year they purchased L. C. letters for after school sports, and they also sponsored various after school activities. Members of this year's Boys' League were, standing in the first row, Chris Orosco, secretary, Steve Kurtz, Marty Van Dyke, president, John Demourkas, and Tony Rodriguez. Row 2: Ray Noel, Stan Hyt, Mark Scott, Jerry Gonzalez, Fernando Reynoso, Mark Endo, and Mike Aguirre. Row 3: Don McCloskey, Paul Blanke, Allen Gallagher, Jeff Wustman, Mike Menzies, Richard Mouck, Mike Murray, and Mr. Sonnenburg, sponsor.

I 1 1 t mlm 1 L- The Student Court is an organization composed of four ninth graders one of which is appointed Chief Justice three eighth graders, and two seventh graders The purpose of Student Court is to try charges made by LCC s another organization. It usually met about once a week Student Court is a branch of Student Council which helps them with certain things such as clarifications of the rules at La Cumbre. The members of Student Court have attained their positions after filling out an application stating tn purpose for joining and what they think is the reason for having a Student Court Mr Simpkins the club sponsor is shown here with the members of Student Court from left to right Wendy Hyde Betty Johansen Dagmar Montanaro Julie Bailey, Chief Justice, Mr. Simpkins Marsha Smith Jennie Altamirano Jimmy Bys and Ed Tschupp QTUDENTGIZOUPQ AID IN QOLVING PROBLEM The Project Look-up Commit- tee again worked hard to promote better citizenship among students. The members portrayed their ideas by posters, banners, and other dis- plays. The members were selected from students who applied for Student Court.
