Toward the beginning of the year the Girls League, together with the Boys' League, sponsored a car wash. Shortly afterwards, a good-grooming assembly was 1 which featured Mr. Ohasi, a local hairdresser. In November, they organized a very successful rummage sale from which they cleared a net profit of over one hundred dollars. The Council of Christmas Cheer and the Mother-Daugl Christmas Tea kept the officers and representatives busy during December. The Carnival, in which several different clubs participated, was probably the biggest event of the year. Two fashion shows were held in the spring, and in Ju they arranged the annual Festival of the Arts. Pictured on opposite page are Mr. Ohashi and Wendy Drammer during the good-grooming assembly. Irene Holt is shown assisting in the Girls' League Rummage Sale in November. As in previous years, the Sugar and Spice Committees job was to choose girls from each of the grades every month. The girls chosen are considered model examples of the ideal girl. Members pictured are seated from left to right: Terri Hadley, Debbie Farris, Patti Tippit, Lynne Trouchon, Tricia Thorsell, and Jackie' Bys. Standing are Debbie Olson, Debbie Nor- ton, Carolyn Aiello, Patrice Weiler, Jennifer Lee, Stacey Brown, and Terry Rawson. 84 E fl-, ly, 5 x 2' If it x as .92 v- x.-
