IN THE PPJODUCTION OF LC QI-IOWQ The first show produced by LC this year was Twas the ight Before Christmas. The A Cappella sang with orches- al accompaniment, while selected students from the The- tre Arts class pantomimed the story. The Drill Team as- tmed the role of Santa 's Toys. In February, the Performing Arts Department staged The Spirit of '68, combining the talents of the Band, rchestra, Drill Team, and Majorettes. ORC!-IEQHZA AND OT!-IEIZ INQTPLJMENIZXL GROUPS The orchestra, under the direction of Mr. Fredlund, gained experience and poise through their several performal this year. To begin the year the orchestra performed in the Christmas Show. The annual Band and Orchestra Show was the program in which they took part. The orchestra's most demanding challenge was Cinderella, this year's Spring Sl Later in the year, they participated in an out of town event, The Music Festival in Lompoc. In their last performance they played for graduation in June. Members of the Orchestra this year were: Betty Ahlstrom, Pat Angus, Don Autrand, Nick Autrand, Charles Barb Paul Blanke, Jim Bys, Richard Duncan, Mark Endo, Mark Fowler, Becky Frazer, Charlene Gertz, David Goto, Scott Harker, Brad Hinkson, Irene Holt, Christine Huffmann, Steve Koop, Tom Larson, Jennifer Lee, Barbara Lew, Tomas Machin, Fern Miller, Patsy Noel, Wade Nomura, Margie Perez, Judy Pritikin, George Reijnaert, Kathy Rice, Ken Sagawinia, Serene Sanchez, Chuck Smith, Bruce Stevenson, Laurie Stiers, Earla Tatsch, Tricia Tatsch, John Thomp- son, Linda Thompson, and Patrice Weiler. The String Quartet was a special ensemble which practiced on Friday afternoons. They made an appearance on KEYT at Christmas and performed in the Band and Orchestra Show. Rogers and Hammersteirfs version of Cinderel1a, the story of a beautiful girl and her dreams which become re- alities during her life, was brought to life through the com- bined efforts of those in the Performing Arts Department. Portraying the role of Cinderella was Durene Weiler, undersludy Tricia Thorsellg with Roland Monzano, Prince, understudy Dave Sugich. The two wicked step-sisters were Teresa Koop and Susan Finch with undersrudies Hanan Yaqul and Betsy Barber. Linda Zurbuchen, understudy Cathy Davis was the Step-mother. Other leads were Bob Snyder, king, understudy Jeff Wustmang Tannis Kobrinsky, Queen, understudy Christy Lee: Carolyn Aiello, Plume Lady, understudy Christy Lee. understudy David Weisman: Chamberlain, Chris Olsen. rf l underslucly Bud Spencer: Steward, Rick Dejongp Chef, Dennis Meaney, understudy Tino Guevarag and Courtier, David Preston. Members ofthe Hunting Party and Servants were Steve Studley, Bud Spencer, Matt Campos, Marshall Welsh, and Robert Muraoka. The Populace was comprised of Mark Strayer, Ed Tschupp, Dave Sugich, Allen Blakeboro, C Cowing, Dave Whitehouse, Doug Reese, Sheri Goodenow, Martha Calderon, Betsy Barber, Jeff Wustman, Julie Ander son, Tricia Thorsell, Maureen Devaney, Christy Lee, Barbara Benes, Hanan Yaqub, Peter Spacek, Steffnie Bloss, and Layne Hicks.
