In September of 1954 28 eager little 13-15 year olds left behind their grade school days and experi- enced their first taste of high school life. At this time they welcomed to their rank Larry Nelson from soon as the Green Frosh After the initiation, we Mount Vernon. The first month was spent in servitude to the Sophomores but as were initiated everyone went his own way and did as he so jolly well did please. the freshmen, found that it was necessary to give the sophomores a party for the swell job they did on us at initiation. It was really quite a party. During the homecoming festivities Schols reigned as the Freshman Princess. The Freshman year seemed to be a slow tedious year because we were always put on every clean -up committee imaginable, but our Sophomore year was destined to be much more satisfying. As Sophomores there was the chance to get back at the little Freshmen for what we had suffered the year before. And did we ever! Our homecoming princess during this year was Patti Eisen. It was in this year that we purchased our class rings about which we were very happy. As Juniors, our schedule for the year was pretty full, making gnoney for the Junior-Senior Banquet and the Prom. We spent many hours in the concessions booth selling candy, pop, hot dogs and pop com at noontime and during all of the basketball games. With all the money we made we were able to enter- tain the seniors at a very attractive banquet and delightful prorr. which we believe were enjoyed by everyone, The first homecoming parade was staged during our junior year and as you might well guess we won the first prize with our float decorated to the theme indian Summer. Our princess for this year was Mary Ann Schols. Seniors at last! It just doesn't seem possible. Some of the members of our class have quit and gone Y, In into the service, some are married and others are attending school elsewhere, leaving 17 to graduate that year Mary Ann Q 5 Elem LaConner. During our Senior year Patti Eisen reigned as Queen of Homecoming and Lorraine 11 I, ur served as princess. We thoroughly appreciated the fine prom and banquet the Junior class gave us. at was Seniors enjoyed a wonderful Senior Ball and sneak. Because we are a small class we have been ,ni close and have enjoyed four happy years.
