T' ' T9 ' ' ll ' QQUUPUQ lU-!-Xlflafllfl The Girls' League met regularly each first and third Thursday in the month during the seventh period The year was started with the following officers Pres ieent, Marcella Wiwel, Vice President, Phyllis Barnhart Secret ry, Audrey Hatfield, and Treasurer, Helen W re with Marie Pequette taking the position at the second semester Our advisor was Mrs Berry The girls chose blue and gold for their colors and car nation for their flower The theme for this year was nAll Out for Victory Attractive booklets were made in the club colors These booklets contained the year's program, club calendar and a list of the officers and members The U S O D'ive and the War Bond and St mp Sales were sponsored by the Girls' League this year A Freshman Tea was held on the afternoon of September 15th ln the Home Economics room Thls was giver to welcome the Freshman girls into the school organization The Southwest Washlngton Girls' League Fall Conference was held at Centralla on November 18 Besides the President and the Advisor, Marie Pequette, Dorls Jean Smith, Audrey Hatfield, Arlene Murray and Betty Morris attended On the evening of December 20 the girls had their annual Chlistmas dinner which wa very successful ing of February 6, in the Home Economics room They had a good turn out to their Valentine's party for thc High 5 hool 1n the gymnaslum on the night of February Mi The gfrls deeiced to start a 'Teen Age Canteen oracle thing similar in this community Noleen Jellum was appoint ed chairman of a com ittee and she has the plans well under way In May, the annual Mother's Tea was given We alsognve the Senior Mother's Breakf st during com encement week for Seniors and their Mothers With the wonderful co operation of all the ElTlS and he excellent leaoershlp of Mrs Berry, the glrls had a very successful year 2 N 15 O 'I .
