BOND DRIVE stamps today?u frequently in the rooms and this year. HAny bonds today? Any These words were heard halls of La Center School Every Tuesday was official stamp day, and a com- mittee of girls went to all of the classes in grade and high school to solicit the buying of war stamps and bonds. The girls were chosen from the high school classes and were under theempermsion of Della Johnsong the drive was sponsored by the Girls' League. The Bond Com ittee, with the help of a few other gallant students presented an assembly program in November, the purpose being to .boost the sales of their merchandise The program consisted of a skit, presenting differences in American and German Schods A bond raffle was Girls' League mirror and other mlscellaneous expenses The war stamp and bond sales for the school were brought to a close 35,010 was sold during the year We wish to thank the teachers and students who have helped to make such a fine record for the school spon ored to raise funds for a Tue day, May 9 total DRAMATICS The dramatics class was combined with the Journal ism cla s this year both under he direction of Mlss Bowers A few skits were presented to the student body early in the ear and later a farce comedy, HSay It With Music was glven at a night program The proceeds went for stirs for the service flag LElTERMAN'S CLUB This year's Letterran's Club has had a very suc cessful and eventful season The groups main func tion was to see that the school grounds were kept in a presentable condition The Club has made strict rulings about littering up the grounds and building The organization acted a a pollce force to see that these rules were enforced The officers were as follows, President Dick Eagle, Vice President Leif Schillios, Secretary as I F 3 ! 1 i l Treasurer Don Jabusch, Sergeant at Arms, Nils Wiweqigfgyf '--l 6 fs e f V r-.f !' j xxx O I S J . . s .
