Nevertheless, mere wondering wasn't going to help meg so I turned on the radio to break the monotonous silence of the evening. Suddenly I heard the famil- iar voice of Miss Bowers, the most famous woman news analyst of the Western Hemisphere. I caught a memory striking name. The Tommy lanville of Johnson, had just eloped for the seventh what do you know! I remember 'way back was voted the most bashful girl of the would have guessed it? 1944, Della time. Well, in '44, she season. He has had 50 fights and has won all 50 of them. I re- member back in '44 he used to pick Dick Eagle up and carry him all around the halls with a mero flick of his hands. Dick looked so astonished--but so did we. Mrs. M. Goble, the former Helen Hagedorn, 'Mr' Goble, and the twins, recently returned from the East where they attended the New York World's Fair. Mr. J. B. Milleris late speech to Congress seems to have really made a hit with not only the U. S. public, but also with that of the foreign world. His ambition was to be an orator, I remember, and he cer tainly seems to have made a grand success of it Ruth Soehlfs fireside chats have become even more famous than those of Presldent Roosevelt She, the first woman presldent, has become widely admired by the public for her wisdom and quick decisions She graduated in three years with us '44 Seniors.
