She appeared briefl - on top of her woodpile home on March 1 but, spotting three feet of snow, went back to her nest. She reappeared several weeks later, thinner and slightly irritabli ' from lack of food. Mv ' father was very careful not to feed her too much since she had been dormant for six months.
