The intense patriotism of Americans is the only thing that will save our democracy. To do our part in stimulating this important American virtue, we have arranged our panorama of school life along patriotic lines. It is our hope that this annual will not only serve as a storehouse for your memories, but will also inspire you to join in our fervent prayer, God Bless America. Mechanical draw- ing under L. C. Perry's supervision has also been added to the cur- riculum. Each class has modern equipment and accommodates ap- proximately twenty students. Quiet, Please The cafeteria is one of the bright spots of the school. It consists of an enlarged lunchroom, containing new tables and chairs, and two steam tables. All the students are seated for lunch, forming one big happy family. The Callaway Vocational School is offering L. H. S. students a course in vocational textiles for which they receive high school credit. Approx- imately eighteen boys are enrolled in this class. B. A. LANCASTER, A.B., A.M. Endowed with a cheerful and 'Friendly disposition, Mr. Rowe 'faced each new day with a bright Good morning. He lent a sympathetic ear and a helping hand to all who sought him for guidance. He was ever eager to understand and encourage. ln judgment he was calm, not hasty. He was, indeed, Professor Rowe, for he had the attri- butes of a scholar and a teacher. - The secret of greatness was known to Mr. Rowe, and with humility of spirit he kept it ever as his ideal. His favorite passage was: Who- soever of you will be the greatest shall be servant of aIl. His favorite chapel prayer: May we so live that Thou wilt say of us, 'Well done, good and faithful servant'. iii' ' ' - EE. -- 5: -Q --: 5.5-. N 'ai Mm, -LQ.
