Considered brilliant by teachers and students alike, Joseph Honore participates in all phases of the total educational process. ln addition to attending to all of his administrative functions and handling, myriads of unanticipated problems, Mr. Honore makes it a point to be accessible to his faculty and student body. He visits classes regularly and continues to teach his EnglishfLatin class daily, a practice he initiated four years ago. Mr. Honoife might well be considered the impetus which has molded Pinkston into a model setting for ur- ban education. Though quiet and soft spoken, he re- mains in control, relating well to co-workers and students. The Honore style is low-key, but firm and professional. It is not uncommon for Mr. Honoi!e to address students by name, quote detailed statistics about the Pinkston budget, or to summarize new educational con- cepts on a national level in an off the cuff fashion. His interest in others and wide knowledge of academics set him apart as an extraordinary man in what once was an ordinary school. ae' Pink ton' Honore EW is 'nj' .
