They began prac- tice in mid-August. By the day of their first game the team was fired up and ready to win. As the season passed and district tour- naments drew near, they tallied a 13-7 record. In District Tournament action, they defeated both Houghton and Ontonagan. With high hopes they travelled down to Marquette and were beaten by a strong Negaunee team. At the end of the season the deserving were given individual honors. Voted All-Conference on first team were Ann Edwards and Tanya Rajala, second team honors went to Shelly Jestila. Elected to the All-U.P. Class C team was Ann Edwards. Tanya Rajala received honorable mention. We congratulate Mrs. Seavoy on another successful coaching year. 27
