The study of mankind, from the wisdom of the ancient Greeks to the questions of today; this is the basis of the social studies. The staff consists of Mr. Gudegast, Mr. Sullivan, Mr. Owen, Mr. Raymond, and Miss Higgins. Miss Higgins also teaches Latin and that is where our camera caught her. Voc Ed — Building for Tomorrow L’Anse runs a comprehensive vocational education program. An integral part of that program is housed in the Harvey Hyde building. The teaching staff includes: Mr. Gauthier, Mr. Brinkman, Mr. Beuson (standing), and Mr. Bertagnoli. This year the classes built a storage facility next to Hyde building. A local mason taught them how to lay blocks. 23 Gerard Lanctot and Gerald Friisvall are shown working in the shop.
