Our school is complex, almost a living and breathing thing which draws its nourishment from its many individual parts. It blossoms into full view for nine months at a time, yet is never far from any of us no matter what the season of the year or of our lives. No person or group is more important than the others. To survive and to grow we must all learn to live and to work and even at times to play together. This section is a visual record, as is the rest of the book, of our experiences; sort of a family album for 1976. We hope you enjoy it.

High school is the whirl of fall leaves swirling across a road at twilight. It's a gold-plated megaphone dangling from a dainty chain. It's buying all the latest fashions, then baby-sitting. It’s meeting friends, watching the winning touchdown and experiencing the thrill and sweat of a locker room, after the struggle. High school is cramming for an exam that you'd rather forget. It's a shiny bronze ring that catches the light and a charm bracelet with scattered memories. High school is growing up. and growing up is wishing you were young again. Suzanne Branciforte 16

Our Administrators We see a lot of our new principal, Mr. ludge, and his assistant principal, Mr. Mattson. Sometimes we'd rather not. Mr. Olson, who is just finishing his career as superintendent, we usually see on special occasions. Mr. Willette, principal at Laird, we seldom see; but when we do - he’s smiling. Our school board we can’t see because nobody took their picture. For the record, however, they are: John Sikorsky, Roy Koski, James McPhillips, Donald Erickson, Ray Juntunen, James McMullin, and Norman McKindles, Jr.
