Glenn L. Anderson, son of Mrs. Thora Anderson, L'Anse, enjoyed quite a unique experience recently. Glenn is stationed at Morrison Field, West Palm Beach, Fla., where he is a member of the 341st Air Force band and orchestra. Last week the orchestra was taken by plane to Nassau, Bahama Islands, where they played for the American and British soldiers at the British Officers' Club, and also had the honor of playing for the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. Cp. Anderson is better known locally as Rip Anderson and had his own orchestra here for eight years. He was graduated from L'Anse High School, after which he attended Northern Michigan College of Education, studying music for three and a half years before he en- tered the armed forces November 27, 1942.
