All Conference Team For the third consecutive time in three years the L'Anse Hornets won the Copper Country Football Conference. Coached by Jim Mattson, who in his first year as football coach at L'Anse lost only one game, 13-12, to the Munsing Mustangs. They breezed through the rest of their six games by a large margin finishing second only to Manistque in the scoring column. They had one player on the All State team, one on the All U. P. team, and six on the All Conference team. Eleven players got honorable mention on the U. P. team.
