This was surely a fine group of boys with which to work, STANDING behind the coach are: Keith Saunders, John Payne, Mike Justus, Keith Weddington, Don Justus, John Eggle ton, David Wickline, T. Jay Robinson and Jeff Hash. u Three Selected For S.V.A.C. Team Players selected for the 1970-1971 S. V.A.C, Basketball Team were Roger Pelfrey, Arthur Clark, and Larry Justus. Arthur Clark led the S.V.A,C. in scoring and rebounding, while Larry Justus was second in rebounding and consistently added 10. O points during every game. Three Seniors To Leave Squad Three seniors are being graduated and will leave North Gallia's basketball squad. They are Roger Pelfrey, guardg David Justus, forwardg and Larry Howell, guard. Roger received two scholastic trophies for having the high- est academic average during the football and basketball season. David received a trophy for having the highest foul shoot- ing percentage. Larry broke his ankle before basketball season, but recov- ered to play varsity basketball during the second semester, and during the tournament,

North Gallia Wins Basketball Tournament I J J 'k Varsity Sustaining two early season losses, this varsity team named Desire rebounded to win twelve games out of the next thirteen, thereby gaining a Southern Valley Athletic Conference Co-championship and the Gallia County Championship.
