rerienfafion We, in behalf of the yearbook staff, present the 358 Cougar. Starting with the forming of our staff in May 1957, the long process of production had its birth. The groundwork was laid during frequent meetings in the summer. Slowly it began to take shape. First, different areas of work were assigned to the staff members. The cumulation of ideas was placed on paper, and write- ups began. By this time the new school year had begun and our efforts were doubled. Picture scheduling, writing, and correcting articles occupied most of the staff's time throughout the first four months. Shifting into high gear at the entrance of the new year, we formulated every minute detail in a dummy. All articles were proofread again. After the printing on good paper, the articles were tediously fitted on the paste-up boards. From there it left our hands. This book then traveled to the publishing house for its final printing, and then to the bindery for final operations. Only after the annuals were distributed to the subscribers, was -the work of the staff completed. At this time we express our sincere thanks and appreciation to those who contributed in the production of the 958 Cougar. First to the faculty and the administration, whose co-operation and backing was indispensable. The staff also is indebted to Mary Ann Merkel and Kerry DeLong for their volun- tary efforts. Without the co-operation of all mentioned plus the student body and subscribers, this, our product, would be impossible. With this, we present the '58 Cougar. Q. CRYSTAL A.
