Class Prophecy In I96O My flance and I Just came home from the coast where he was stat1oned wh11e servlng h1s t1me 1n the U S Army After rest1ng up a b1t I sat down to read one of the local newspapers when I happened to notlce where Mrs Ronald D1etr1ch QGFHCIB Flnchl entertamed several guests ln honor of her daughter s f1rst btrthday My mother told me that they were l1V1I1g where the D1etr1ch's had prevlously l1ved but they had f1xed the place up a lot One day when I had nothmg to do I dec1ded to v1s1t Grac1e bhe lnforrn ed me that they were marr1ed 1n 1954 and had l1ved on the farm s1nce then Grac1e thought Carol1ne Theobald was l1v1ng 1n West Jefferson so we dec1ded to look her up We reached her home about 10 15 A M We were pleased to to know that Carol1ne had become the new Mrs Charles Harr1ngton 1n 1955 She was worklng 1n a factory part t1me Whlle she attended her ch1ldren the rest of the t1me Carol1ne thought Ronald Armbruster was 11v1ng outslde of Bryan on a farm so the three of us started out for Ronn1e's Manslon Just before enterlng Bryan we not1ceo a large farm w1th a large house and barn On the mall box we saw a slgn that read Harry Keller We end ed up stopp1ng here 1nstead of look1ng for Ronrue Harry was marrxed to a glrl from Bryan but we could not qu1te place her He and h1s w1fe had one ch1ld and had been farm1ng for some t1me now He ment1oned that he and Ronn1e had thought of startmg up a da1ly paper 1n Kunkle Harry Sald he thought he could d1rect us to Ronn1e's house so we started out for there Harry ment1oned that once we were on the r1ght road we couldn't m1ss 1t and I see what he meant As we entered the dr1ve I was amazed to see Ronn1e s1tt1ng on thc porch as lt was 1n the summer tlme for harvest1ng gram I the house we notleed a large sw1tch board and later Ronn1e 1nformed us that lt was h1s automatxc sw1tch control for operatmg h1S machmery that d1d the harvest1ng by slmply presslng a button He sa1d all of h1s farm work was done by the Press Button system In the k1tchen was h1s w1fe Carol Lutz Armbruster preparmg dmner She d1dn't have to ask u more than once to stay after we smelled the del1c1ous steak cook1ng After lunch Ronme asked us how we mlssed the Connolly Alrport when we came through Bryan fLocated 2 mx north of Bryan J So we all thought we'd let Ronn1e d1rect us to the alrport I-I1s lovely w1fe had us walt ln thelr home unt1l J1m came ln He was runn1ng an a1rl1ne 24 passenger from Bryan to New York It wasn't long unt1l he arr1ved and took us a r1de 1n one of h1s planes Jlm sa1d he had been marrled and runn1ng the alrport now for two years and l1ked the work well As we were 1eav1ng the plane Carol1ne fell and spramed her ankle so we had to rush her to Bryan to the Hosprtal The doctor 1nformed us that they could not take care of her and that we should take her on to Deflance As we entered the Hosp1tal and saw the doctor we thought he was fam1l1ar then we dlscovered lt was Harvey Ashenfelter Mrs Ashenfelter CRosanna Armbrusterl I . . - , .
