I . , , ' J- :J-,x ,, ro J' I CC . - Cut New Footboll Cooohes EDWARD STAVINSKI ROBERT BALENT The class of 52 wushes to take thus means to congratulate Mr Stavunsku and Mr Balent on their unutual success as head coaches of the Blue and Whute football team Mr Stavunsku became a member of the Kulpmont Faculty un l9-47 and held the posutuon of assistant coach for a period of four years under the super xusuon of Mr Wrona and Mr Magalsku Mr Balent uouned the faculty n l949 and served as assistant coach for one year Prior to coming to Kulp mont Mr Balent was head coach at Mt Carmel Catholic Hugh for one year Before the bl football season started even the most rabid Kulpmont fan among many others nad hus doubts that two head coaches could succeed un producing a wunnung eleven It was the popular opinion among fans that there would be too many personality conflucts with two men guudung the des tunues of one team and that success was therefore umpossuble However Mr Stavunsku and Mr Balent scored a personal truumph when much to the amazement of everyone they led the Wildcats to an undefeated season the furst sunce l9-lD Their success was due prumaruly to the fact that both were specualusts un their own right wuth Mr. Stavunsku handling the lune and Mr. Balent the backfield, Neither interfered with the other in coaching lcis respective group. This fact brought about a harmonious relationship bee tween both coaches, and undoubtedly accounts for the success of the first two co-coaches in the history of K, H. S. lt is the sincere hope of the class of 52 that Mr. Stavinski and Mr. Balent continue their united efforts in bringing further glory to K. H. S.
