The hot lunch program follows a pre- scribed menu sent out by the State Department. TLIDE T BODY The entire student body, work- ing together, as a group, sponsored several activities during the 1960- 61 school year. Outstanding activ- ities included several picnics and the carnival. A. was most active during the 1960-61 school term with seventy-one memberships. They served the G. T. A. banquet in the fall and held a hard times dance this spring. With the proceeds of these two activities and member- ship dues they sponsored a delegate to Girls' State, gave a donation to the I. F. Y. E. fund, awarded cash prizes each month to the class rooms winning room count each meeting, and purchased a set of'Melmac, a service for forty-eight. SCHOCL BOARD I. McCormickg E. Beck, Clerkg W. Rolston, Chairmang N. Johnson. The Kremlin School Board made numerous improvements in and around the school. They blacktopped a playground area, put in new sidewalks, built a new fire escape, and put in a new fire alarm and bell system. The new windows they put in on the south and west sides of the building made a great improvement in the appearance of the school. New black-out shades were pur- chased, also movie screens, flags, for all the classrooms, and a new phonograph for the seventh and eighth grade room.
