EVENINGI P RIS l96I JUNIOR PROM Soft music and candlelight provided the background for the evening of April 29. Royal purple, magenta, and lilac streamers did carry out the color scheme for the canopied sidewalk cafes surrounding the dance floor. The Eiffel Tower stood in the center and beyond was seen the Arc de Triomphe. Overhead were midnight-blue streamers and hundreds of silver stars. A Parisian flower cart graced the stage, and rock walls and trees provided the entrance for each Parisian named cafe. French menus, programs, punch girls, and waiters completed the setting for an Evening in Paris. The French waiters wore black pants, white shirts, black bow ties, moustaches, aprons, and large chef hats. The girls' ballerina outfits were pink and blue. Music was by the Four Squires. A lunch was served. I Page 51
