They were initiated as all good greenhorns are at KHS. . .and then the fun began. Carl and Lowell starred in ljjglgz Qxll. During the Sophomore year the boys won second place in the District Basketball Tournament in Havre. The class number increased as Arlene Pursley decided to get in the swing of things. The Junior year brought even more laurels on the hardwoods. The Foxy foxes took the District Tourney and went on to grab third, in the Divisional Class C held in Havre. During the Spring, Lyle,Arlan, Lowell and Arlene took parts in the play Aaron Slick From Punkin Crick, a hilarious comedy which the school thoroughly enjoyed. After complete investigation, it was discovered the class breathed a hugh sigh of relief with just the thought of starting their Senioryear. No distinguishing achievements were made in sports, but track was started. Lowell Donoven was the cinder captain and Lyle Donoven the hoop cap- tain. Carl became editor of the LAIR and went on to surprise everyone by acting in the play The Curse of an Aching Heart. The detectives searched further and learned to no one's surprise that Carl and Lowell topped the class scholastically. Here and there, however, a few unsolved mysteries cropped up--Shirley and Arian were missing at graduation time. But what a happy time it was. It was then we decided to favor our lowly schoolmates with the read- ing of the class will: Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Being of sound mind and body, we, the Seniors of '56 wish to bequeath: To the Freshmen, the echo of our stomping feet in the halls, to the class of 58 Qthose that make it, we bequeath our pillows from the 8:30 class, to the class of '57, we bequeath all our pencils, paper, books and ink -- you'll need 'em! I, LYLE, bequeath my good luck in charming women to Leo Wall and Fred Bullman. I, LOWELL, bequeath my English homework to anyone who'l1 be foolish enough to take it. I, ARLENE, bequeath nothing, because I'm taking it all with me, even my bit of good luck. I, CARL, bequeath my ability for getting along with teachers to all students with a grade below C level.
